Obituary of Linda Carla Parvin

Linda Carla (Woodward) Parvin of Jenks Oklahoma, earned her angel wings on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the age of 75.  She was born in Weleetka, Oklahoma on April 6, 1944 to Henry and Wilma Woodward.  She grew up in Borger, Texas; raised her family in Olive, Oklahoma and the past 11 years she made her home in Oologah, Oklahoma.

Linda was a devote Christian and an active member of the First Baptist Church in Collinsville, Oklahoma.  Linda loved organizing events, preparing the church bulletins and directories and most importantly sharing the love of Jesus.  At the time of her death, she and her husband, Jerry, were serving as the Directors of Senior Adult Ministry.   Serving in the church was one of her greatest joys. Linda worked at Home Health in Sapulpa, Oklahoma as an office manager for many years, she retired to enjoy time with family and friends in 1998. 

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jerry Parvin of Jenks; sister Lucille (Cairl) Horst of Borger, Texas; brother Larry (Carol) Woodward of Borger, Texas; daughters Cathy Haybecker of Okemah, Tresa Hulsman (Audie Benson) of Mannford; stepson Toby (Diana) Parvin of Sapulpa; stepdaughter Jeri-Ann (John) O’Dell of Collinsville; exchange student son, Yusuf (Naz) Sen of Istanbul, Turkey; Fifteen grandchildren, Twenty-five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Woodward; mother, Wilma Click Woodward; first husband, Harold Thomas; sister, Brenda Woodward; grandson, Jeffery Frasier; and stepson, Karry Parvin.

Linda will be laid to rest at the Oakhill Cemetery in Oologah in a private family service.

Arrangements are under the care of Green Hill Funeral Home.
