Obituary of Tara Maranda Cristine Stephens

Tara Maranda Cristine Daugherty Stephens was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on February 29, 1992 to parents Darrell Daugherty and Sandra (Roof). She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on December 20, 2019 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tara grew up in Claremore, Oklahoma and attended Claremore High School and later Tulsa Community College. She had many friends and enjoyed tennis, singing and cheerleading. She married Matthew Stephens on February 2, 2019 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Tara is survived by her husband Matthew Stephens and son Colton Stephens of Sapulpa, daughter Madelyn Hammami of Tulsa, mother and step-father Sandra and Darryle Bridgeford of Sapulpa, father and step-mother Darrell and Jackie Daugherty of Claremore, brothers Adrian Roof and wife Melanie of Sapulpa, Andrew Daugherty and wife Brittney of Tulsa and Trevor Daugherty and Alexandria of Tulsa, step-brother Robert Bridgeford and wife Chrissy of Tribby, OK, step-sister Stephanie Arrendondo and Benjamin of Kiefer, step-sister Tiffany Bridgeford of Sapulpa, grandparents Frank Roof of Pinewood Springs, CO, Gayle and Emad Nabatian of Tulsa and Fred and Judy Daugherty of Claremore, nephews and nieces Bentley, Cameron, Faith, Riann, Elliott, Aiden, Haylee, Colton, Landon and Paityn along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by Aunt Brenda Roof Lagrimanta and niece Judith Janice (JJ) Daugherty. Tara was a kind, beautiful soul who had a heart of gold. It was rare that she met someone she didn’t like. She loved her family and friends fiercely and without hesitation. Her tender heart and infectious smile could brighten up even the darkest of days. Her silly personality, complete with movie quotes, one liners and quick wit, her compassionate heart and joyous laughter will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Dec 23 at 2:00 PM at St. James United Methodist Church 5050 East 111th St S 74137, Tulsa Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec 22 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home 400 East Teel Road 74066, Sapulpa Final Resting Place will be in Memorial Park Cemetery 5111 S Memorial Dr, Tulsa .
