Mary Ella (Thompson) Parker was born December 28, 1942 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to parents Orval and Ada Thompson. She journeyed to her heavenly home to be with her Lord January 3, 2020 at the age of 77.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Orval and Ada Thompson; and sister Waleah. She is survived by son Dennis Parker Jr.; son Chris Parker; grandchildren Rob Parker and Shelby Parker; siblings Jackie Thompson, Dale Thompson and Betty Whitely.
Mary enjoyed many hobbies. She enjoyed working in her yard planting trees and growing flowers, reading and listening to gospel and classic country music, collecting dishes and cookware. She cared deeply for animals and had many beloved dogs over her lifetime.
Mary hosted many holiday family dinners and barbeques. She loved cooking and baking and enjoyed trying new recipes from those handed down from the previous generations. A family favorite was her mother’s recipe for Thanksgiving dressing.
Mary loved the Lord and encouraged others to follow His word. She loved spending time with her brothers, sisters and most of all watching her grandchildren grow up.
