Betty Jean Cook was born July 19, 1957 in Dumas, Arkansas. She married Gary Cook in Wasco, California on April 18, 1980 and the couple shared many years together, until his passing of Lung Cancer September 3, 2017. Larry Cook was the first child born of the marriage, 2 years they welcomed Jerry Cook. Betty furthered her education as the children grew up, receiving her GED and then attending Carl Albert St. College in Sallisaw. She was a hard-working woman that would do any job necessary for her family. She had many careers throughout her life; waitress, banquet manager and cash office manager. Her hobbies included puzzles, reading, handheld and card games. She had many achievements over her lifetime. The one she was most proud of was becoming a grandmother. Betty raised many troubled boys and helped turn them into good men. Betty will be remembered the way she lived. Full of love, compassion and understanding. Services are scheduled for Thursday February 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Gravesdide services are scheduled for Thursday February 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Ft. Gibson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations toward funeral costs would be appreciated. www.greenhillok.com .
