Obituary of Donna Marie Hammock

Donna Marie Hammock, age 65, passed away peacefully February 21, 2020, surrounded by family and friends in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Donna was born June 1, 1954 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Robert and Lela Harder. She spent her early childhood in Langley, Oklahoma, growing up with her sister Charlotte, until her family moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She had many neighborhood friends. She could outrun them all and climb higher in the trees than anyone else could. She also enjoyed going on fishing trips with her dad. She attended Charles Page High School until moving to Florida, where she took the Hammock name and gave birth to her daughter Cindy and son Darrell. She was a homemaker, seamstress and devoted member of the Southport Community Church for many years. She later returned to Sand Springs, Oklahoma becoming a loving caregiver to her Aunt Viola Hull and parents Robert and Lela until their passing. She went on to work several years at Whirlpool Corporation until an injury forced her into an early retirement. A few years later she moved back to her childhood home of Langley where she spent her days quilting, knitting, and operating her upholstery shop and was a proud member of the Strang First Baptist Church. She had a great love for the outdoors as well as all of God’s little animals. All that knew her knew she was such a loving person and she will be greatly missed. Donna is survived by her sister Charlotte, daughter Cindy, son Darrell, granddaughters Courtney, Lela, Kristin, and Lannah, great-grandchildren Loundan, Keygan, Harper, Noah, Braxton, Lilly and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Feb 26 at 2:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Chapel 400 E. Teel Rd., Sapulpa Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb 25 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home 400 E.
