Obituary of Francis Robert Seymour

Francis Robert “Bob” Seymour, 80 years old, passed away on March 1, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bob was born on October 8, 1939 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Frank and Maudie Seymour. When Bob was younger, he loved his old cars and trucks. Later he was interested in horses. He loved and cared for many types of horses over the years. His favorites were Appaloosa and Paints. Both were fast and beautiful. Most times when you saw him, he was sitting high in the saddle, along with his dad riding next to him, even in later years. In recent times, he would still be enjoying horses. Only now it would be in John Wayne Movies, or watching Little Joe and Big Hoss, or Matt Dillion. Bob was a country boy through and through. He told his family just last month if he had a horse now, he may not be able to ride, but he could sure take care of it. Bob was a 60-year member of the Pipe fitters and Welders Local 430 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He took care of both of his parents until the end of their lives. Then later when he moved to the Cimarron Pointe Care Center, he continued his caring by helping his fellow residents. Bob loved his children and grandchildren very much. Bob is survived by his 3 children; Glenda Counts and husband Charles of Chandler, OK, Shawn Seymour and wife Linda of McCloud, OK, and Christa Holt of Jacksonville, FL, 4 grandchildren; Travis Counts, Shawn Henry Leroy Seymour, Devon Holt, and Collen Holt, 2 nieces and 1 nephew, many great nieces and nephews, and many great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Maudie Seymour, his brother Phillip Gerald Seymour, his sister Rosemary Seymour-Bailey and his son Gerald “Jerry” Seymour.
