Obituary of Howard Lee McLaughlin, Sr.

Howard Lee McLaughlin, 81, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed away on May 2, 2020. Howard was born in Konawa, Oklahoma, on March 19, 1939 and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, at an early age where he attended and graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1957. Howard worked as an over-the-road truck driver for 38 years. He was a veteran and served in the United States Marine Corps and United States Army. Howard is preceded in death by his father, Oscar Lee McLaughlin, his mother, Flossie Irene McLaughlin Rogers, his brother, Joe Burl McLaughlin, and his daughter, Patti Ann Harrison. Howard is survived by his wife, Linda Lou McLaughlin, of the home; his daughter, Vicki Lynn Seawright, Tulsa, Oklahoma, his son, Howard Lee McLaughlin, Jr. and his wife, Kristen, Glenpool, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Stephanie Duncan, Jessica Seawright, Shauna Stewart, Christina Harrison, Shawn McLaughlin; four great-grandchildren, Kallie Cox, Brantley Duncan, Jackson Stewart, and Caden Stewart. Howard was passionate about old cars and family. He could take any old hunk of junk and make it look good and run like new. He was always there to help people when they needed it. However, his family was his pride and joy. Nothing made him happier than to see his family all together sharing laughter and love for each other. Viewing will be Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at Green Hill Funeral Home, 400 E. Teel Road Sapulpa, OK 74067, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services are pending due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
