Obituary of Edith Rayola Meek
Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edith Rayola (Jones) Meek was born July 11, 1942 to Allen and Frances Jones. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 27, 2020 at the age of 78.
Edith met Charles Meek and they were married on Friday, November 13, 1964. Friday the 13th held no bad luck for the couple. They were married for 55 years. Charles brought 2 children into the marriage and Edith loved them from the start and they became her children. The couple added one more child to complete their family.
Edith loved the Lord, her family, and her church. She enjoyed spending time with family and attending family get togethers. She attended Garden Heights Freewill Baptist Church in Sand Springs for 50 years. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and always mailed the weekly newsletter to anyone unable to attend services. From the moment you met Edith, you loved her…and she loved you. She loved with the love of Christ. Although she struggled with her health the last several years, she always had a word of praise. Edith will be missed deeply by family and friends alike.
