J.C. Worden was born to Eunice and Harry Worden, Sr. on September 27, 1932 in Tulsa, OK. He attended Horace Mann School and Central High School. He dropped out of High School in the 11th grade but completed his GED after enlisting in the Air Force in 1952. J.C. was stationed in Toyoko, Japan during the Korean War. J.C. contracted TB in Japan and spent over one year in the hospitals during his three years in the Air Force. He married Betty Hibbs and they had two sons and one daughter. The couple divorced after five years. J.C. then married his current wife, Marilyn Poole, they had a son, Kyle and 18 years later a daughter, Rachel. J.C. worked for Payless Cashways driving a forklift until he retired at the age of 62. He enjoyed his son`s sports and cub scout years. J.C. spent a lot of time pushing his daughter Rachel, all over the neighborhood in her stroller. He liked playing Chess and taught Kyle to play. He also liked working puzzles, logic problems and crosswords were his favorites. J.C.`s health started failing to the point where he required a lot of help with daily tasks. Essential Companions contracted with the VA and became his caregivers. They were able to help Marilyn care for J.C. in his own home for several years. As he deteriorated further, it became necessary to place him in the VA Center in Claremore the last year and a half of his life. He was well cared for there also. He passed away on August 16th. J.C. `s survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marilyn; his son, Kyle; his daughter, Rachel and her husband, Devin Barnes. He is also survived by daughter, Cindy; sons, Mark, and Tony; grandson, Jaron; two step grandsons, Ethan and Aiden and a granddaughter, Dominique. NO VIEWING........
