Obituary of Aaron Lynn Todd

Aaron Lynn Todd was born on September 4, 1935 in Ben Franklin, Texas to Buster and Florence Perkins. Lynn departed this world and made the journey to his Heavenly Home on August 18, 2020. He was proceeded in death by his parents Buster and Florence Todd, (1) brother Bill Gann of Florida and (1) son Carl Todd. Lynn is survived by his loving wife Sharon Todd of the home, daughter Marcia Price and husband Mike of Sand Springs, sons Roy Todd of Sand Springs, Harvey Bohannon Jr. and wife Jamie of Sand Springs and Steven Bohannon of Sand Springs, (9) grandchildren and (9) great-grandchildren. Lynn married Sharon Kay Williams Bohannon on November 27, 1975 at Olivet Baptist Church in Tulsa Oklahoma. They were happily married for over 44 years. Lynn proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy in 1953 at the age of 17 and served on the USS Platte until September 1, 1956. Lynn moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma after leaving the Navy to continue his blessed and busy life. He started working at CE NATCO and later began attending Okmulgee Tech where he received training in automotive repair. After his training Lynn was employed by Fred Jones Ford in Tulsa, RK Motors in Sand Springs and later retired from South Park Lincoln Mercury of Tulsa in 1998. He enjoyed working and after his retirement in 1998 he was employed at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Sapulpa for 8 years. Lynn was blessed by helping others and dedicated his time to many organizations throughout the years. He served as a Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America Troup 112 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma for over 5 years. He was a member of the Sapulpa Auxiliary Police until 1983. Lynn faithfully served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher at Sand Springs Church of the Nazarene and Southwest Church of the Nazarene. He also served as a church board member for 5 years at Southwest Church of the Nazarene. In retirement Lynn felt the desire to reunite the men that he had served with on the USS Platt and began to search for the crew members. This led to the founding of the USS Platt AO24 Association, an accomplishment that Lynn was immensely proud of. The association had many reunions throughout the country with Lynn serving as President Emeritus for the remainder of his life. Lynn had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him. His loved ones, family and friends will miss him dearly until we are all reunited for an eternal celebration in our Heavenly Home. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Aug 21 at 2:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel 400 East Teel Road, Sapulpa Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug 20 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Chapel 400 E. Teel Rd., Sapulpa Aaron's Final Resting Place is int Woodland Cemetery 1200 North Cleveland, Sand Springs .
