Please share a memory of Eddie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Eddie R. Krajicek, of Sapulpa, went on to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at his home, after a brief battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends. He was 90 years old and lived a good life. Eddie was born in Austin Tx, in February 1930, the fifth of sixth children, born to Rudolph and Marie Helena Krajicek, emigrants from Czechoslovakia, who were sharecroppers. The family eventually moved to Prague, OK. He finished his schooling there, and began doing different jobs in the area, before finally being hired by Blagg Wrecking, a demolition team, with whom he worked for many years, retiring at the age of 60. In 1954 Eddie married Alene Dickenson and from that marriage he gained his first two children, Sherry and Terry. In 1966 Eddie met Ruthann Little and they married-on Christmas Eve of that year. Ruthann brought with her 3 sons. Eddie and the family moved to Sapulpa in 1972 to continue work and Ruthann began work at Bartlett Memorial, while continuing her education. During that time Eddie spent many hours coaching the boys in baseball, wresting and soccer. He was also an avid of fan both college and pro football. He taught his sons everything he knew about the outdoor sports, and a sense of fair play on the playing field. He also loved fishing, hunting, and had the best green thumb of anyone around. He had a beautiful vegetable garden, flower garden and an immaculate yard. He was proceeded in death by Ruthann, the love of his life, in 2015, and two granddaughters: Brandi Jones and Samantha Phillips. He spent time afterwards with his children, grandchildren, his sister, and sister-in-law. He was on the phone constantly with everyone. He is survived by 6 children: Terry and wife Bessie of Sapulpa, Sherry and husband Alford of Prauge, David Jones and his wife Cara of Sapulpa, Alan Jones and his wife Teresa, of Sapulpa, and Ron Krajicek of Sapulpa. He also leaves behind his best friend Maggie Lou, and 29 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great great-grandchild. Eddie was devout Christian and preferred cremation and so a private family memorial will be held at the Krajicek home on Saturday, 8.29, 2020. In leiu of flowers, Eddie would have like donations sent to St. Jude’s, an organization he cared deeply about. The family wanted to express a heartfelt thanks to family members Brittni Krajicek, and Mason Cooper for the extra effort they made to make Grandpa Ed feel better.
