Obituary of Paul Lewis Bock

Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Paul Lewis Bock was born February 5,1937. Born and raised in the Sapulpa and Pretty Water area, he joined the Army in 1956. Paul married Anna Higgins on December 27,1956 in Picket Prairie, OK. Paul and Ann had 4 boys, Paul Jr., Michael, David, and Timothy. As all service members do, there was a lot of travel involved with his military service. They were stationed in Germany twice and lived in States of Tennessee, Kentucky, New Jersey, and Missouri. Paul served in the Korean conflict and Vietnam war where he did two tours of duty. He had many accomplishments in his military service, one was becoming a Warrant Officer. He retired as a Warrant Officer III in 1976. While in the service he also was a member of the Masons organization, part of the Shriners, and was very proud of what that organization did. After his retirement from the military he moved his family back home to Oklahoma. He worked as a Painter for several years and the GSA government services and retired again. When he finally retired the second time you could find him fishing. But bowling was his passion. There were times he would be on 4 leagues a week. He passed that passion on to whoever would take it, just ask his granddaughter Courtney. Just a little over 2 weeks ago he bowled in his last tournament. Paul remarried on February 14, 2015 to Loretta. This marriage added 4 bonus children, 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He took pride in being able to take great care of his wife, and her not want for anything within his power. If she mentioned wanting anything, he went on a search for it. Once he went on a search to get her a pair of loafers that she claimed she had lost. She later explained to him that wasn’t what she meant. But in Paul fashion he was bound and determined to find her lost pair of loafers and replace them for her. That is just what he did. During their marriage they did some traveling. They shared a love for Elvis and he took her twice to Graceland. He was very excited when he was able to also pass down this love for Elvis to Cambry, he taught her to sing and dance like Elvis. Paul and Anna had 4 boys that provided him 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great, great-grandchild. Paul was especially proud of a moment in his life that gave him great joy and fulfillment to a full life, and that was the birth of the fifth generation of Bock’s. This was his first great, great-grandchild “little Theo” which he is holding in his military full dress blues he was proud to wear. Two proud moments in his life in one picture. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Milton & Goldie Bock; 1st wife Anna Bock; and his 1st son Paul Lewis Bock, II. He is survived by his wife Loretta Bock; son Mike Bock and wife Gina of Mannford OK ; son David Bock of Clevland OK; Tim Bock and wife Irene of Arkansas; sister Mildred; brothers Eddie, Mike, and Charles; grandchildren Michael, Elizabeth, Matthew Bock, www.greenhillok.com
