Michael “Mike” Ernest Mitchell went home to Jesus on September 9th, 2020, at the age of 79.
Mike was born to Gid and Ernestine Mitchell on January 12th, 1941 in Bixby, Oklahoma where he grew up and made life-long friends whom he cherished deeply.
Mike moved to Lake Tahoe/Reno, Nevada where he worked in the casino industry until moving back to Oklahoma where he worked at Wonder bread until he retired. While back in Oklahoma, he met his wife Shirley in 1990 and enjoyed 29 years of marriage.
Mike joins his parents, Gid and Ernestine, and his sister Nancy, in heaven.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, his sister, Sally (Randall) Mayberry, his sons from a previous marriage, Jim (Tara) Mitchell, Bob (Wendy) Mitchell, his step-children, Shelley (Tim) Archer, Sheila Carson, Shaun Hurst and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
