Obituary of Earl B. McCullough

Please share a memory of Earl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
He was born Earl B. McCullough on December 5,1926 and passed from this life on September 10, 2020 at 93 years old. Earl was the oldest of two children. He became a big brother in 1931 when his beautiful little sister Leanora was born. Life would never be the same for him. Leanora was not just his sister but was one of his best friends whom he loved dearly and stayed close to his entire life. As young children Earl and Leanora lost both of their parents to illness. They were both taken to the Sand Springs Home for Orphaned Children. Earl later went to live with his Uncle Earl and Aunt Daphne, where he stayed until he went on to serve in the United States Army om 1943, during WW2, He later worked for the City of Tulsa in the sanitation department for 25 years at which time he retired. Earl had two daughters that he loved dearly. His oldest daughter Deborah was born to him on December 13, 1959 and his youngest daughter Vickie was born to him June 26th, 1954. He was immensely proud of them and was excited when they gave him grandchildren. He also had a bonus son Greg, who he loved spending time with. Earl enjoyed watching old western movies, watching wrestling, going fishing and trading cars…it is said he could not pass a car lot without stopping to see if he could make a deal. Deborah said as a kid she did not remember him coming to visit more than once driving the same car. She was always excited to see what he would be driving next. Earl was known to be quite the ladies’ man. When he was younger, he loved to go dancing at the VFW. All the ladies wanted to dance with him, possibly because he always had a smile on his face. No one ever saw him angry or upset. He loved horses, everything about them including feeding and caring for them as well as riding them. He worked on a horse ranch and spoke of how much he loved it. There were lots of horses there and it was very beautiful. He reminded his granddaughter Jennifer of this story the last time she visited and told her he was going back there. He also asked to help him get dressed because he wanted to get a new car. We believe he got his new car and is now at that ranch enjoying those horses and watching those beautiful sunsets. Earl was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Otal, and his wife Dorothy. He leaves behind to recall his memories his daughters Deborah and husband Joe, and daughter Vickie; his sister Leanora; his granddaughters Amanda and husband Rusty and Jennifer and husband Joe; his grandson Christopher; great-granddaughters Kaylyn, Kherstan; great-grandson Hunter; niece Jenna and husband John; great-nephews Tyler and Zach; bonus grandchildren Alyssa, Austin, Frank, Katherine, Patricia, Samantha and Jack; his bonus son Greg; and many other special family members and friends. www.greenhillok.com
