Obituary of John William Sink

Surrounded by his family, John William Sink went peacefully to be with the Lord on October 6 2020. John was born to Robah and Sarah Sink on August 31, 1935 in Salem, North Carolina. In 1955, John married the love of his life, Laqueta Ray. They were happily married for 63 years. In that time, they had four handsome boys. John would often speak of Laqueta and how much he loved her. John was a son, brother, husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, and friend. John was a man who was very outgoing and could be friends with anybody. John had a deep love for God and his family and friends. His grandkids were one of his greatest joys in life. He made friendships that lasted a life time. He was and is loved. John often spoke of his career as a firefighter in the Airforce in which he retired after 20 years. John would also joke about going to school for 23 years at TJC before retiring. John loved telling anybody and everybody he was in the Airforce. John could talk for hours about each of his children and grandchildren and how they were so special to him. John was preceded in death by his parents Robah and Sarah, Laqueta, and his siblings. John is survived by his four sons Gary, Ricky, Ronnie, and Randy. His daughter-in-law’s Deanna, Tamara, Cheryl, and Cecilia. His nephew Marshall Sink. His grandchildren Kevin and Heidi, Anthony and Danielle, Blake and Casey, Holly, Brendan, Maci and Chris, Manuel, Andrea, Beto, and Christian. And, his 11 great grandkids Nelaya, Rayna, Skylan, Jonas, Isabelle, Bensen, Tinley, Judah, Noah, Annie, and Carter.
