Obituary of Catherine Hazel Dods

Please share a memory of Catherine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Catherine Hazel Dods was born on April 29, 1937 in Green River, Wyoming, to Frank and Jean Krause. She died surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Collinsville, Ok. Catherine worked as a waitress most of her life and later in life became the manager of a self-storage facility. She loved her customers and became more than just a manager, she was their friend and to some, family. Always busy doing crafts, cooking, baking, and making sure that holidays were so special for her children, she always wanted to make sure people felt special and loved. As far as she was concerned, no one should leave hungry or without a family. She was just as opinionated as loving! When she moved to Oklahoma to live with her daughter Cindy, she started attending church at Owasso First Assembly and got involved with Bible Studies, trips and made special friends that she talked about all the time. She was in a group called the Precious Pearls that gave her friendship that made her so very happy and fed her both physically and spiritually. She treasured each one. Catherine is survived by her Children Frank Dods of Caldwell, TX, Cindy Ament of Collinsville, OK, Michael and Angie Dods of Enid, OK, Terrie Parks of Taloga, OK, Sandi and Laura Lemon of Tuscola, TX, and many grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William B. Dods, her parents, and daughter Susan Kay Young.
