Obituary of Franklin Carr Gibbs

Please share a memory of Franklin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Franklin Carr Gibbs was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on January 27, 1955 to parents Marie and Jerry Lee Gibbs, a blessing they both cherished. Franklin made the transition to Christ on November 13, 2020 at the age of 65. Franklin graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1973. Upon completion, Franklin enlisted into the United States Army where he toured in Korea, and proudly served his country many years thereafter. Later, Franklin returned to his hometown of Sapulpa, were he would marry and have four children. In keeping with Franklin's loving and generous spirit, it was agape that Franklin accepted Christ at an early age. He severed and honored Christ under the anointed leadership of Reverend E.E. Burkhalter. Franklin was a faithful member of his church and enjoyed the beautiful hymns of the choir. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Franklin would also know his kindness. Franklin would make the needs of others his priority. Those that needed his help, had only to ask. Even if he had to call Frank Jr. for backup, consider the job done. Franklin never wanted to waste one minute of a day. He cherished life and never met a stranger. Along with Franklin's incessant acts of kindness, he enjoyed many hobbies. Watching wrestling on Monday nights and landscaping were among many. If Franklin had the choice however, he would spend a whole day fishing with his son, or his good friend Ray. Franklin impacted the lives of many and shared his wisdom with those all around him. Franklin is proceeded in death by his parents, Marie and Jerry Lee Gibbs Sr., (two sisters); Marionetta Gibbs, & Marquetta Warner, (three brothers); Glenn Gibbs, Joseph Gibbs, & Jerry Gibbs Jr. Left to cherish his wonderful memory are his (three sons); Frank Jr. (Danielle); Omar, and Benjamin. (one daughter); Shyanne Marie Gibbs. (three-grandchildren); Justin, Jaydyn & Londyn (four sisters); Mary Felder (Tulsa), Marvenia Grayson (Tulsa), Marthenia Gibbs (Houston), Marsha Gibbs (Sapulpa), Margaret Gibbs (Sapulpa); (two brothers) James Gibbs (Tulsa) and Andrew Gibbs (Tulsa), numerous grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
