Growing up in Mounds and being from a pretty poor family, it was a 'splurge' for my family to provide for me to be able to be on the track team and play basketball. My parents were not able to attend the meets or the games. But Jack and Corine were always there. The kids were pretty cool and didn't make fun. When an adult would ask "where are your parents?", I wasn't the only one who pointed to the stands at Jack and Corine. I spent some time with them in the stands between games and they were always willing to listen, ask questions and just be very interested in what was going on with me as a kid -- and they gave that attention to many others as well. There was usually a group of kids around them. Some years after I graduated and had friend with kids playing sports at Mounds, I went back there to watch those kids play ball, and who was there, still rooting for them and talking to them and supporting them? Jack and Corine. Love and hugs to the family -- I know this is hard.

Jack preached one of those unforgettable messages at a time l needed it most about Noah and how he continued preaching to the people though none would listen! This message still gives me strength today and I trust it will do the same for you!
I love you Jack and appreciate your service to our Lord and Savior

I had the good fortune of working with Jack when he worked for Braggs Public Works for a number of years. I always enjoyed
working with him and visiting with him and Corene. My husband, Fred Irving, dearly loved Jack and made him promise to preach his funeral. Jack was released from the hospital the morning of Fred's service and His son picked him up and brought him to
Braggs to do his service. He really wasn't able, but he had made a promise and he make sure he kept his word. I will always
remember Jack for being a man of God. I was so sorry to hear of his passing and my condolences to Corene and family. I will not be able to attend the service, but my thoughts and prayers will be with the family.

It's hard to find the words to say about Jack. I met Jack and Coreen in the 70`s, from the day I met them they always made me feel like I was part of the family. Several people would ask me if I was related to them, I would say yes but no lol. Before long I wasn't called Donna Culbert, it was always Donna Culbertson from then on. I loved him as though he was my father. He taught me so much on how to be a good person, how to laugh when you want to cry, how to love unconditionally. I will miss you so much Jack.
