Obituary of Pamela Darlene Arnold

Please share a memory of Pamela to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Pamela Darlene (Townes) Arnold of Bristow, Oklahoma gained her wings December 9, 2020 at the age of 70. She was born in Pryor, Oklahoma October 4, 2020 to Charles E. and Francis U. (Bailey) Townes. After a meeting at Chisolm’s Saloon in 1994 she met Jack Arnold, sometimes known as “That Dancing Fool.” Both loved to Waltz and 2 Step to Country Music. The couple was married May 18, 1996 and shared many years together. Ms. Pam was active Youth Director, Officer and Board Member for Green Country Fox Trotting Horse Association of Oklahoma several years between 1994 and 2003. Taking great pride at writing an informative newsletter, she made her horses “Libby and Little Bit” local celebrities with enjoyable articles. She took great joy at “her kids” each year the Youth Awards was the highlight of the Christmas Party and membership meeting. They were “Her kids” and everyone knew it! That same passion was extended to her job as Drug Education Specialist with Dogs Against Drugs. Licensed by the State of Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, she used several trained Drug sniffing dogs to search for drugs in public Pre-K through High Schools. Finding drugs was not the main goal, even though she often found them…but talking to the kids about these dangerous substances and their lifelong affects was her passion. Her talks were often recorded and shown by other representatives of organization. Some of her conversations and actual stories were disheartening. Education of children was important… even lifesaving. She demonstrated wonderful communication and presentation skills during these 8 years of service. A person of Character and person of substance, her life was worth living. She made a positive difference in everything she did. She participated in life. Her life is remarkable and worth celebrating. You may have heard the phrase, “never let the truth to get in the way of a good story”. Well, storytelling can be an art and Ms. Pam always had some truth built into those stories she told! She loved a good story and a making others laugh. This makes me smile and I hope it does you as well. We have to trust our Lord Jesus to hold her and take care of her until we meet again on the other side She will truly be missed. *****You may watch a slideshow and hear a virtual service below.******** www.greenhillok.com
