Obituary of Rickie Merriman Davenport, III
Please share a memory of Rickie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
“Cash” Rickie Merriman Davenport, III was born April 16, 1999 to Rickie Davenport, II and Amanda Pippin. He came into the world as a bright light and remained one until the Lord took him home on December 22, 2020 at the age of 21.
Cash attended Pretty Water Schools and went on to Sapulpa High School and the Thunderbird Youth Academy where he graduated. He joined the U.S. Army and served his country for 4 years. When he returned home, he began working for his grandmother, delivering floral arrangements. Cash was an old soul. He enjoyed a wide variety of music, writing poetry and loved to roller skate and spin poi as well as outdoor activities, including hiking, being at the beach and floating down the river. He was loving, funny and had the best sense of humor. He was family oriented and enjoyed spending time with his brothers. He was the family peacemaker and could always get along with everyone.
Cash loved everyone and everyone loved him back. He helped anyone that was in need. He was the guy who gave his coat to someone when they were cold, stopped to help motorists on the side of the road and always ended up friends with those he met and helped along his journey. He loved the ladies and flirted and charmed them all from the time he could talk. Always the gentleman, he opened doors for ladies everywhere he went.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Rick Davenport, Sr. and Uncle Michael Harmon. He is survived by his father Rickie Davenport, II; mother Amanda Pippin and husband Timothy Nipper; grandmother Cindy Carlberg; grandfather Wyatt Pippin; grandfather Leon Fox; grandparents Lawrence and Karen Kemper; and numerous extended family and friends.
He was a joy to be around. The world was a better place with him in it. He will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Green Hill Funeral Home with interment in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
