Obituary of Mary Lewis

Mary Lewis was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on July 13th, 1935 to parents Katie Fox and Ira Mosquito. Mary went to be with the Lord on January 4th, 2021. She would attend Sequoyah Indian Boarding School from the Kindergarten through the 11th grade. Mary would graduate from Webster High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She would marry Alfred Lewis back in 1960. After working for St. John’s hospital for over 40 years she would retire. Her hobbies would be attending Indian basketball, and softball tournaments. Also watching OU football “hollering at Bob Stoops for calling the wrong play at times.” She attended Stomp Dances throughout her life and enjoyed going to bingo night. Mary loved the Lord. She would attend Morning Star Evangelist Center for the last 20 years. She was devoted to her church with no reluctance if she was needed Mary was there. To help with cleaning or just preparing a small entrée. Mary had seven kids. Girls: Janice Gibson, Debbie Jones, Donna Jones, Grace Jones, Paula Lewis, sons James Mosquito; and Michael Lewis whom she is in Heaven with now. Family and friends would describe her as loving, friendly and vibrant. She was a strong woman physically and mentally until the day she passed. Mary loved her family; she would request prayer for everyone every chance she got. She wanted to see all her family saved and living for God.
