LUTHER EUGENE (BUD) WITHAM, 76 passed from this life to his eternal reward on Monday, January 4, 2021. He was deeply loved by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many family and friends. Born to Charlie and Rosa Lena Witham, on February 12, 1944, he grew up in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1962. He was a Navy Veteran and served on the USS WASP CV-18, the USS Preston DD-795 and the USS Washburn AAKA-108 in Vietnam from 1966-1967. His last two years of 1968-1969 were spent on additional assignments. He received several medals while in the military, including National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He met his wife, Georgene in 1970 and they were married on February 27, 1973. He was a glass worker for Bartlett Collins Glass Company, Kerr Glass Company and Saint Gobain Glass Company from which he retired. He was father to two daughters, Carol Beaver-Holmes and husband Dale and Brandi Whittaker and husband Drew. He had four grandchildren, Ashley Clayton and husband Allen; Danielle Knights and David Crawford; Trent and Cash Whittaker. Papa Bud was a great grandfather to Dakota and Joshua Clayton and Kayzlynn Knights-Bobst. He was a brother to two sisters, Bardie Giessman and husband Roger and Teresa Dildine and husband Charlie.
