Katherine married the love of her life, Meredith “Gene” Hankins, Sr. on March 28, 1948 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. They enjoyed a wonderful life together for 38 years until Gene’s passing on November 29, 1986. She is preceded in death by her mother and father and her sisters and brother; Dorothy Craig, Alice Colsen, Edna Maynard, Dick Whitmore and Margaret Breeden. Katherine was a member of Beaver Street Baptist Church, Jenks, Oklahoma. She and Gene were youth directors at two different Baptist churches in the Sapulpa area. She was a devoted believer in Jesus Christ as her savior
and raised her children to follow Him also.
Katherine retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1986, where she was a telephone operator in Sapulpa with subsequent promotion to the business office in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
