Please share a memory of Beverly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Beverly June Lewis, wife, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother led a wonderful, most colorful, love filled life that is a cause of celebration. This past year due to the pandemic, all family and friends will not be able to gather but we all will be able to remember all our own unique memories of Beverly and the shared time with her that was so precious. She was born near Joplin, MO on June 28, 1931. Beverly’s family moved to California in the early 1940`s. After graduating High School, marrying, and raising 2 daughters, Kimberly Ann Holcomb and Dawnette Daste, she started working in the banking industry and rose thru the ranks to become President of Bank of America, CA. Once retired, Beverly and her husband, Calvin Lewis, moved to the mountains above Banning, CA. Beverly never stopped taking new adventures by volunteering for San Gorgenio Memorial Hospital, fund raising, served as Auxiliary President, and working to receive a 6000-hour volunteer award. She and her husband traveled the world over several times. Beverly also maintained a presence for 20 years in the Republican Women’s Assoc. of California, serving as President during some of her time in the Association. She also maintained close friendships with a wonderful group of people that continued to check on her even after she moved to Oklahoma in 2012. Beverly moved to Oklahoma after her husbands passing due to his request for her to be taken care of here. Once here, Beverly was able to travel N.E. Oklahoma and see the history and beauty here. Beverly was able to experience OU Sooner football in Norman, attend Tulsa Drillers Baseball, Gen Shows and many other wonderful experiences. Beverly also belonged to Owasso Bouquet of Gardens Club with her daughter. She also volunteered at St. Johns Hospital in Owasso and reached over 1000 hours volunteering. Beverly June Lewis is survived by her sibling, Connie Marvick of Orange, CA. 2 daughters, Kimberly Ann Holcomb of Collinsville, OK. and Dawnette Daste of Elk Grove, CA.
