Obituary of Taylor John Harrell

Please share a memory of Taylor to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Taylor John Harrell was born in Houston March 9, 1954 to John J. Harrell and Ella Lee Harrell of Cushing, Oklahoma. TJ, as his friends and family call him, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 30, 2021 at age 66 with his wife at his side. One week before TJ’s birth, his father passed away and his mother, sister and he moved back home to be close to family in Cushing where they remained throughout childhood until graduation in May 1972. After high school TJ continued working his high school job at Anthony’s. He was transferred to Oklahoma City where he attended college at Oklahoma State. In 1982 TJ finally decided to put some roots down and moved to a little 5-acre farm in what he called his mobile mansion working for Wayne Osborn Painting. TJ continued his work with Wayne until he decided to start his own company in 2002. He remained in his mobile mansion until 2019 when he and his wife Debbie moved to live out their retirement dreams at the lake in Wagoner, OK. Of course, the word retirement is used loosely when talking about TJ, because being the workaholic that he was, that dump truck never stayed parked long enough for the engine to cool. TJ was known by his family and friends as a man who would give you the shirt off his back, a man who was always there to help his family and friends and TJ never met a stranger. TJ was proceeded in death by his father John Harrell, his mother Ella Lee Harrell, his stepson Jason Bradley, and his great grandson Jaxon Taylor McGinnis. He is survived by his wife Debbie Harrell, daughter Angela McGinnis and husband Jason McGinnis, son Matthew Harrell, stepdaughter Shannon and husband JD Ruth, Grandchildren Christian McGinnis, Kaylee McGinnis, Kassidy McGinnis, Colby McGinnis, Cason McGinnis and Taylor Sammons, sister Vicci Harrell, nephew Brad Brazil and niece Dana Rush. Viewing will be at Greenhill Funeral Home in Sapulpa on February 2, 2021 from 4pm-6pm. Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Sapulpa, with Pastor Smokey Hurst officiating, on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 2 pm. Flowers may be sent to Greenhill Funeral Home (400 E.
