Obituary of Kristen Lou Hudson

Please share a memory of Kristen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kristen Lou (Surmont) Hudson of Kiefer, OK went to be with the Lord February 9, 2021. She was born in Sapulpa, OK on February 6, 1974, to parents John and Linda Surmont and welcomed by big brother, Scott Edward Surmont. She enjoyed her time at Kiefer High School, where she fell in love with the game of basketball. She graduated from Kiefer High School in 1992 and furthered her basketball career to Bartlesville Wesleyan, graduating in May, 1996. After college she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Gary Don Hudson on, August 23, 1997. Gary and Kristen were so happy to welcome their first son Gavin Scott followed by their next bundle of joy Grayson Don. They have filled their lives with so much happiness, joy and entertainment. Upon celebrating her birthday, Gavin and Paige surprised her with a gift and she found out she was going to have a grandbaby. Also, after college her career path led her to manager of Eddie Bauer at Woodland Hills Mall for 17 years. She then accepted the position of office manager of Marshall’s Family Dentistry in Tulsa, Ok for 6 years. Then she was so happy with her current position with her Executive Title Family. Carol and Robert Parker along with her coworkers have worked so hard during her battle to help her during her sick times. Carol was a God sent angel to Kristen and her family. Through all of her different career opportunities Kristen built so many life long friendships that became more like an extended family. Gary, Kristen, and the boys loved their lake time at the family cabin at Grand Lake. It was here and on the pontoon boat that so many memories were made with family and friends. Kristen also lived for Friday night lights in the little town of Kiefer to cheer on both of her boys on the football field! You could always hear her voice and cowbells over the crowd! Kristen was an active member of the Kiefer First Christian Church. If you knew Kristen you would agree that she was full of life and as Gary says, she was a beautiful force of nature! Kristen is preceded in death by her grandparents: Ira and Elva Lou Rongey, Maurice and Solange Loriot Surmont, her mother and father- in- law, Clifford and Minnie Hudson. She is survived by her husband of 23 years Gary Hudson, Son: Gavin and wife Paige Hudson, son: Grayson Hudson, parents John and Linda Surmont, brother Scott Surmont and sister-in-law Tasia Surmont, sister-in-law Peggy Felts, brother-in-law Terry and wife Jodi Hudson; nieces and nephews; Brynn and Brody Surmont, Kylie Felts, Cody, Dawson and Drake Hudson.
