Marcene Audrey Davis Marcene Audrey Davis was born February 3, 1933 outside Hurley, South Dakota and died February 19, 2021 in Owasso, Oklahoma. She had reached the age of 88 years. Marcene lived her early years in South Dakota and Colorado. When her adopted family moved, she spent her high school years in Lodi, California. She married Wayne Davis in Stockton, California on December 29, 1951. They were married until his death January 2, 1991. They raised their three children in Tulsa and Sand Springs. One of her early jobs was as receptionist and secretary at a trucking company. When her husband attended training while in the US Navy in New Jersey, she worked briefly in a pickle factory. After Wayne’s Navy service ended, they moved to western Oklahoma and on to Tulsa. She worked in the family businesses; laundry, dry cleaning, and restaurants. Marcene always had a large circle of friends. This was true when she lived in Tulsa; Sand Springs; Belton, Missouri; and in Owasso. She loved to give smiles, hugs, and compliments, and was generous with the label “friend.” All of her adult years Marcene was active in church life. She was active in music ministry, youth ministry, teaching, and small groups. She liked handcrafts in varied mediums, spending time doing ceramics, crocheting or knitting, and embroidering. Often Marcene was involved in some sales venture, selling magnets, real estate, and ladies cosmetics. Always ready to travel, some of her destinations included Greece, Alaska, and New England for a fall foliage tour. And there were family stops in California, Arizona, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Texas, Iowa, and South Dakota. Preceded in death by her adopting parents, Fred and Laura Christman, her husband Wayne Davis, two infant children Glenda and Brenda, and her brother Eldon “Chris” Christman. Marcene is survived by her children-Lynda Kaiser and husband Brian Kaiser, Jeannie Gramly and husband Tim Gramly, and Greg Davis and her sister Chalotte Knisley. Additionally she is survived by her four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is loved and missed. Social Distancing will be practiced
