Obituary of Mary Fay Barrett

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary Fay (Zinn) Barrett, age 78 of rural Sapulpa, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021. One of four children, Mary and her twin sister Minnie, were born April 11, 1942 to Buford and Norma Zinn. Mary was a lifelong resident of Sapulpa. She was a proud member of the class of 1960. She met and married William E. (Buddy/Cotton) Barrett in 1962. She worked at Frankoma Pottery, Dollar General and May’s Drug Store before retiring to watch her grandchildren. From growing up and working retail in Sapulpa, it seems like she knew everyone in town. If she met you once, she would always remember who you were. Mary was a dedicated Mema, attending many football and baseball games, wrestling matches, and choir/musical events. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Barrett; her parents, Buford and Norma Zinn; her twin sister, Minnie Little and her younger sister, Nora Wofford. She is survived by sons, Charley Barrett, Buford Barrett and wife Cindy, and James Barrett and wife Sherry; six grandchildren, Tyler Barrett, Austin Barrett, Nicole Barrett, Justin Barrett and wife Ashleigh, Ty Barrett and Gabe Barrett; two great grandchildren, Copper Grice and Aly Barrett and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mary will be remembered by many but especially by Dave Caldwell, her close friend and her long-time friend Aurora Gomez and family.
