Obituary of Dianna Machelle Garcia

Dianna Machelle Garcia was born into this life on February 16, 1973 as Dianna Machelle Calvert. She was the only daughter to James Edwin Calvert and Dianna Kay Payne and little sister to Mark Calvert. Dianna Machelle was the only girl for a long time, always keeping up with her big brother and cousins, but she held her own against them. She would weaponize her cute looks and being the only girl to keep them in line. For the last 12 years she was a ‘home-maker’, staying home to take care of the house and kids, even though she hated that term. Before that she worked at Walmart as a cashier for 6 years, where she was always causing mischief. Before that she held several jobs including Merritt’s Bakery, as a cake decorator, and Bama. She had a dark sense of humor and was always ready to make someone laugh. She was always ready to help when it was needed, even if she laughed at you first. She loved to write and read. She loved mysteries and paranormal. Dianna Machelle left this life of labor on April 10, 2021, in the wee hours of the morning. Her husband was beside her holding her hand. She fought hard to be here but knew it was time to rejoin the rest of our family waiting on the other side. She leaves behind the love of her life, her husband, David and her three daughters, Ashley, Samantha, and Hope, and her mom, Dianna, and step-dad, Dale. She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Dillon, her dad, James, her brother, Mark, and Grandparents, Earnest, Pauline, Alfred and Dorothy. Just know that she was loved, despite her sarcastic wit and sharp remarks and she will be missed until we see her again. Rest in Peace Dianna Machelle Garcia. The family has requested that everyone that comes to Visitation and Funeral Service wear a mask. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
