Please share a memory of Christina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Christina Maradeana Fish was born in Springbook, Kansas to Cora Woodring Morton and Jack Morton on July 12, 1928 and went to be with the Lord on June 4th, 2021. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul Fish, her parents, her brothers Jack, Thomas, Wesley, and Kenneth, her sister Joy Gayle, and her grandson Jimmy Don Jackson. She is survived by her two children Ilene Lawson (Lester) and Edwin Lay (Nancy) as well as her grandchildren Susie Jackson, David Jackson (Carrie), Karen Dunaway (David), Edwin Lay Jr. (Teresa), Keri Lay, Shelley Jackson (Dan), Keith Lawson (Ronna), Penny Hughes, Jill Jones (Johnny), and her great-grandchildren Danny Jackson (Amanda), Connor Dunaway, Lauren Lay, Ryan Jackson, James Jackson, Gabrielle Lay, Jackson Dunaway, Dylan Jackson (Desirae), Teagan Jackson, Logan Dunaway, McKay Dunaway, Salem Dunaway, Kevin Jackson, Adam Jackson, and her great-great-grandson David Jackson, and her sister Maycel Johnston, and her nieces Lisa Fish and Kathy Fish, and her nephew David Joe Fish, and her many other loving family members. Christina was the second oldest of 7 children. She was so much to so many people in her family. She was beloved Wife, Mom, Ma, Grandma, Granny, Chrissy, and Nanaw. As a teenager during World War 2, she worked in a shirt factory making military clothing to help support the nation. She had a full career and retired after 28 years with Liberty Glass. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, painting, ceramics, and walking and singing with Papaw and her grandchildren. She was so talented and creative as well as an avid recycler. She left a profound legacy. She enjoyed drives around the countryside. She and Paul knew every backroad in Oklahoma as well as the best diners and coffee shops. She loved to travel and spent many summers at the beach where her favorite pastimes were swimming and riding around on the golf cart. As much as she loved her family, it didn’t compare to her love for the Lord. She spent hours in praise and worship. The family is grateful to Rocky and Lanita Castillo and their family Coco, Chelcie, Kasarah, Aubri and Janie for their unwavering love and care. She is so loved and will be missed by so many. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her (Proverbs 31: 28).
