Orval Keith Strecker, 1935-2021 On Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the age of 85, Orval Keith Strecker left for eternity with his Lord. A loving husband and father of two, he passed away in his home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents Ferdinand and Susanna (Brack) Strecker, two brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his beloved bride, Joyce, children Melody Barton and husband Lonnie, Michael Strecker and wife Nakiea, his grandchildren Tyler Barton, Grant Strecker and Grace Strecker, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Orval was born in Milberger, Kansas and proudly joined the U.S. Army in 1958. He married Joyce in 1962 and they celebrated 59 years of marriage. He spent most of his pre-retirement life in Russell, Kansas where he managed Nickerson Farms, and later owned and operated a piano and organ store and a Western Auto store. He was able to express his love for music by playing for many weddings and anniversaries with his polka band, The Goldtones. He established a heritage of strong Christian faith which he passed on to the next generations. Graveside service will be held at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Gorham, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 31st with his nephew, Pastor Doyle Karst officiating.
