Obituary of Robert Marion Baker

Robert (Bob) Marion Baker, age 97, passed away July 2, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born November 24, 1923 in Yonkers, Oklahoma to Thomas (Ross) Baker and Laura Ellen (Stephens) Baker. He married Maudie Margaret (Gilliam) Baker October 2, 1946 in Beggs, Oklahoma and together they raised 2 children. Bob was a World War II Navy Veteran. He was an honest and caring man and lived a full life in service, care and love for his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years; parents; 10 sisters and 2 brothers and many friends. Survivors include his loving friend and caregiver, Marla Bond and her family; his sister, Bessie Lucille (Lucy)(Baker) Piazza of Tulsa, OK; daughter Sherry Flynn and husband, Dale of Bixby, OK; his son, Robert (Bob) Baker and wife, Melody of Parker, CO; Bob had 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 1-5 pm at Green Hill Funeral Home, Sapulpa, OK. Funeral Service will be held with Military Honors Monday, July 12, 2021 at Olivet Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK. Bob will be interred at Woodland Cemetery in Sand Springs beside his beloved wife, Maudie.
