Obituary of JoAnn Gast

JoAnn Gast, a loving wife, amazing mother, wonderful grandmother, delightful great-grandmother and an amazing friend to all who knew her; she knew no strangers. JoAnn went to be with Jesus on August 23, 2021, where she will be eternally healthy and at home with Christ. JoAnn was the oldest of four girls; she was born on February 1, 1940, in Pryor, Oklahoma to Cynthia and Joseph Gann. Salina, Oklahoma is where she grew up and attended school and fell in love with her first husband whom she had four children with until his passing in 1975. At that time she went back to college and attended what was known then as Claremore Junior College and studied Psychology and worked for Tulsa County Sheriff’s Department. As time went by, she met a wonderful man whom she would marry and share forty-six years with until she went home to be with Christ; her heavenly father. JoAnn was preceded in death by her dear mother and father, her youngest sister, and many aunts and uncles and cousins. She is survived by her husband Richard Gast of forty-six years, daughter Rhonda and son-in-law Vernon Watkins Jr., son Joe and daughter-in-law Tonya Morgan, son Darell and daughter-in-law Gina Morgan and daughter Kimberly and son-in-law Michael Twist, daughter Pauls Rose-Gast fifteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren, two sisters and many nieces and nephews.
