Obituary of Clay Andrew Pollard
Please share a memory of Clay to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Clay Andrew Pollard was born in Tulsa, OK on May 25,1971 to Jimmy L. and Betty L. Pollard. He Passed from this life September 6,2021 in Cleveland, OK. Clay was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, friend, and pontoon captain.
Clay was raised in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1989. While in High School Clay enjoyed running track, but mostly he enjoyed getting into some sort of mischief and tearing up the town with his buddies. Not much slowed Clay down…ever. While in High School, Clay attended Central Tech and gained an education in machining which led him on the path to his occupation of Aircraft Machining. At some point during his career, he took a different path and decided to return to school where he received his Medical Assisting Certification and worked as a Medical Assistant in pediatrics. After three years in the medical field, he returned to machining.
On February 27, 1992, Clay began dating the love of his life Tammie, who he ended up marrying exactly one year later, on February 27, 1993. Clay and Tammie shared many happy memories together, from going on trips, building homes together, and spending time with family and friends. On December 29, 1994, they welcomed their eldest daughter, Jessica and five short years later they welcomed their second daughter Adisson on May 31,1999. Clay spent many days and nights on the softball fields coaching his girls and many hours on a bucket taking shots to the shin during pitching practice. Clay enjoyed helping his kids with their livestock, entertaining their friends, and cooking the best breakfast. He never missed a beat. He was given the best promotion in 2015 when he was promoted to Papa and was given his first grand daughter, Rylen. In 2019 he was blessed again with another granddaughter Macy. Clay was expecting his first grandson Jace in just one week. Clay loved every minute spent with his grandchildren. He was their biggest fan.
Aside from all the time spent with his family, Clay loved to be on the water. He was the Captain of his Pontoon boat and loved cruising the lake every weekend. If he wasn’t physically on the lake, he was at his lake house either sitting on the porch visiting with friends or next to his smoker cooking for anyone and everyone. Clay will be remembered for his infectious smile, sense of humor, and his kind heart. Clay was referred to as an M&M, tough on the outside but soft on the inside.
Clay is survived by his wife Tammie Pollard of Kiefer; daughter and son in law Jessica and Jacob Pilgrim of Mounds; daughter and son in law Adisson Pollard and Hunter Sanny of Kiefer; Nephew/son Caylan Pollard of Cleveland; Father Jimmy Pollard of Hulbert; Mother Betty Wolfe of Tulsa; Sister Keri Pollard of Tulsa; Grandchildren Rylen and Macy Pilgrim; Many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
