Charliss Jean Gilbert, “Jeannie”, was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 17, 1949, to Frankie Bob & Betty JoAnn Christian. She passed away Monday September 6, 2021, at Hillcrest South Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life on September 22, 1972. Jeannie worked side by side with her husband, Harold Gilbert, at Gilbert Marine in Mounds, Oklahoma for over 45 years. Jeannie was preceded in death by her loving husband Harold, sisters Donna Rae Childress & Shirley Lee Richburg, and great grandson James Glen Armstrong. She is survived by her daughter Tracey Armstrong & son-in-law Tim, son Tommy Gilbert & daughter-in-law Tracie, her mother Betty Adams & brother Bobby Christian. Grandchildren Tanner Armstrong & wife Taylor, Tobie Scirto & husband Dustin, Tj Gilbert & wife Ashton, Kassidy Pennington & husband Hayden, Mckenzie, Payten, and Hayden Gilbert. Great Grandchildren Abigail & Leeland Gilbert, Matthew Scirto, Triton Armstrong, Colten Pennington & Baby Girl Armstrong on the way along with a host of nieces & nephews. Jeannie loved her family dearly. She loved to go camping and going to the casino. Her last big trip was to Gulf Shores, Alabama in May of this year. She loved the beach and made the comment she hadn’t seen the beach since she was a little girl in Corpus Christi. She also got to enjoy a camping trip to Okmulgee Lake with her son Tommy and his family this summer.
