Wendell I. Evans was born March 18, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas to Grover and Violet Evans. He passed from this life Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the age of 70.
Wendell (W.I.) retired from the Tulsa Fire Department as a Captain. Wendell is survived by his wife, Linda Evans of Sapulpa, OK, children, Allen Schlecht of Tulsa, OK, Marcy McNair of Tulsa, OK, and Amber Hennigan and her husband Brian of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 granddaughters, Macey Guthery of Houston, TX, and Morgan Hennigan of North Carolina; and aunt, Joy Hensley of Bartlesville, OK.
Wendell was greatly loved and will be missed by his family and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 pm, Monday, September 13, at Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa, OK. A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, September 14, at Carbondale Assembly of God Church in Tulsa, OK.
