Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Person

Mary Elizabeth Person was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 29, 1944, to Harry and Mary Bolin. She departed this world to enter into the eternal journey of her life on, September 11, 2021. She was the rock of her family and friends, and she still is. Her love was always unconditional for family, friends, and even those she didn’t know. Her glow was from within, and such a breath of fresh air when you came into contact with her. She was simply beautiful from inside and out. In many ways a tower to look up to, but still had a child-like heart. Her eye was always on God, seeking Him, praying to Him, and in the end said, “God has this!” Mary lived a very full life, and was tested beyond measure. She stood strong and moved forward, no matter the pain she carried. She pressed forward and fought many times, when her body was ready to give up…. Mary loved life too much, and refused to give up! She loved her family and friends too much, and said yes to life and kept marching on. There were many things she enjoyed. Spending time with her family, working in her home and yard, camping, fishing, roller skating, traveling, and so much more. She was very outgoing! SHE WILL BE MISSED! Mary was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Mary Bolin; her husbands Jim Curtis and Harvey (Bob) Person; siblings Rose and Harry Smith and Hiram and Sandy Bolin; her son Jimmie Curtis; great grand daughter Cameron Curtis. She’s survived by her daughter Mary Tawfik; sibling sisters Georgie Davis and Dorthy Davis, brothers Ed Bolin and Stuart Bolin; grand children Anthony Lunkwitz, David and Nicole Lunkwitz, Terry and Nichele Lunkwitz, and Kellie Jo Curtis; eleven great grandchildren; and numerous extensions of family and friends.
