Obituary of Linda Fay Zinn

Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Linda Fay Barrett Zinn was born February 10, 1945 and headed to Heaven September 11, 2021. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Alvin Zinn, by her parents Bill and Vera Barrett, by her brothers Buddy Barrett and Gene Barrett, and by her grandson Corban Lyon and grandson-in-law Brady Andersen. She is survived by her children Raymond Zinn, Jr. and wife Heather, Aldea McClure and husband Curtis, Elly Griffin and husband Kevin, Dawn Soward and husband Jeff, Brian Zinn and wife Kelly, by her grandsons Brian, Caleb, Andrew, Eric, Chase, Daelen, Doug, Patrick, Carson, Joseph, Ian, Caydan, and Baylor, by her granddaughters Carole, Christina, Keeley, Briley, and Annalyn, by her sisters Jo Etta New, Patricia Talburt, and Sue Gehan, and by her many great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. In her nearly 58 years of marriage, Linda established a heritage as a mother, aunt, and mema of many youngsters, whether family or friend. A skilled seamstress, she could create any garment or home decor she desired. She even designed and stitched the wedding dresses for her own children’s weddings. She enjoyed surrounding herself with beauty such as a flower garden full of hyacinths, an aquarium full of tropicals, and a goldfish pond full of waterlilies and koi. Planting seeds through Sunday school, church camp, and vacation Bible school was immensely important to her. Spending time with family, studying the scripture and playing board games were favorite pastimes. Linda has scattered blessings as she touched so many lives, and her legacy will continue in her memory and her stories.
