Obituary of Thomas Deane Thompson

Thomas D. Thompson of Custer, South Dakota passed away in Owasso, Oklahoma, on September 13, 2021, at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Thompson, daughter, Laura J. Thompson-Fresenius, daughter-in-law Jacquelyn D. Thompson-Fresenius, grandchildren Erika K. Brown and Robert D. Brown, sister Gloria Ann Hawley, brother-in-law Michael Hawley, sister-in-law Wilma Thompson, sister-in-law Lilian Nugent, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Henry and Mabel Ruth Welchert, brother Lawrence Chalmer Thompson, sister Linda Sue Harbison, brother Daniel Duane Thompson, and brother Thomas John Welchert. Thomas served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 through 1988. He enjoyed returning to the Black Hills of South Dakota as often as possible. He was a lover of animals and nature. A memorial service will take place on November 22, 2021at 2:00 p.m. at Green Hill Funeral Home, 9901 North Owasso Expressway in Owasso, OK.
