Obituary of Mattie Kaye Evans

Mattie Kaye (French) Evans of Collinsville, Oklahoma passed away on September 15, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years. She was born on July 15, 1951 in Newport, Arkansas to Vernon Louis French, Sr. and Ruby Lena (White) French. In 1969, Mattie graduated from Newport High School in Newport, Arkansas. Mattie worked for various companies as an accountant; this is how she met the love of her life, Rick. They were united in marriage at their home in Collinsville on October 20, 1990. Mattie always had a love for the outdoors. She enjoyed sitting on the porch in her swing enjoying her beautiful yard full of flowers. Spending time with her family and being Grammy to her grandkids and great grandkids brought her the most joy. Mattie is survived by her husband, Rick Evans. One son, Robbie Loftin and wife Kim; One daughter, Amanda Phillips and husband Jamie. Six grandkids: Keaton Phillips, Rob Loftin and wife Veronica, Josh Loftin and wife Alissa, Colby Phillips and wife Jessica, Emily Jackson and wife Jessalyn and Kelsey Johnson and husband Colton. Six great grand kids; Lane Loftin, Raylee Loftin, Grayson Phillips, Kamdyn Crawford, Wyatt Phillips, Kensington Loftin and another baby Loftin on the way. Two sisters; Joyce Ann Hembrey and Sue Henderson and one brother, Bobby French. Mattie was preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Ruby and four brothers: Charles Jones, Vernon French Jr., Jimmy French and Billy French. Mattie was well loved and will be greatly missed.
