David H. Cox
David H. Cox was born on October 5, 1936 in Wichita, Kansas. He was the son of Homer and Genevieve (Jordan) Cox. David went Home to meet our Lord on October 2, 2021, just three days short of his 85th birthday.
David is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judy (Inbody) Cox, of Collinsville, OK., son Daryl Cox and spouse, Kathy, of Tulsa, OK., son Randal Cox and spouse, Tony Worley, of Palm Springs, CA., son Scott Inbody and spouse, Carrie, of Collinsville, OK., and son Brian Inbody and spouse, Jennifer, of Chanute, KS., Grandsons Drew and Cody Inbody, Granddaughters Julie Justice and husband, David, and Abrielle and Alayna Inbody, Great-Grandsons Ethan Justice and Rylen Inbody-Crown, Great-Granddaughter Zoe Justice, and a whole host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Homer and Genevieve Cox, sister, Cherri Watson, and brother-in-law, Bill, and son, Gary Cox.
David married the love of his life, Judy Inbody, on February 12, 1982, at her sister, Patricia Sokolosky’s, home in Owasso, OK. This February they would have celebrated 40 years together.
He attended George Fox College and received a Bachelor’s of Biblical Studies from Friends University in Wichita, KS. He was called to serve The Lord at the age of 7. He went on to dedicate his life to serving the body of Christ in many capacities as pastor, youth pastor, and Youth for Christ Executive Director and Director of Development. His service took him to Colorado, Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma.
David was known for his collections of boots, belt buckles, watches, and pocket knives. He loved hunting and was an avid auto shopper. He traveled extensively in his lifetime, going as far as Europe and Israel. He enjoyed attending Friends Church and A Glorious Church of Collinsville, OK. David Cox truly lived a full life loving his Savior, family, church family, buying, accessorizing and selling cars, and eating his wife’s wonderful cooking.
