Glenell Marie Whitsell was born January 28, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee to parents Glen and Nell Hawkins. She was one of two children. Glenell passed on October 9, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her family by her side.
Glenell grew up in Kansas City, Kansas before relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada with her son William. There she met Jimmy Rae Whitsell. Soon after, they married and moved to Kansas. While there, they had a daughter, Kelly Marie, before settling in Oklahoma in 1983. She lived and loved with her husband Jim for over fifty years.
Glenell made a career in the health care industry. She enjoyed helping people and was a valued registered nurse in any organization she worked for. She was an avid horse enthusiast, lover of nature and true believer in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Glenell is survived by her husband, Jim Whitsell, her son William Bennett (wife Barbara), daughter Kelly Shields (Spouse Patrick Scott), and daughter Teresa Smith (husband Tim); grandchildren Andi, Tucker, Austin, Elica, Phillip, and Andrew.
