Obituary of Charles Newton Enloe

Reverend Charles Enloe, 81 years old of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. He was born on April 24, 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Charles was the third of six children who proudly served the Lord for over 50 years as an evangelist. He ministered to people throughout the United States and Canada. While ministering in Canada, he recorded a gospel album. In his walk with the Lord, Charles studied Greek and Hebrew for a better understanding of God’s word. Brother Charles was known as a chef and he definitely knew his way around the kitchen at home. Charles enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Most of the time at gatherings you could find him playing his guitar, singing gospel songs, and talking about the Lord. Brother Charles is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Dowler of Tulsa, OK; his son Charles Shannon and wife Angela of Perkins, OK; daughters Sheryl McLean of Cleveland, OK and Darla Keys of Sacramento, CA, his sisters Ramona Schaefer of Tulsa, OK and Patti Enloe Smart of Rowlett, TX; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; his stepdaughter Jessica Benedict and husband Rodger of Glenpool, OK; stepson George Wesley and wife Anna of Tulsa, OK; 4 step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren; along with many other family members. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Jessie Enloe; infant daughter, Sharla Enloe; sister, Frances ‘Rook’ Hawkins; and his brothers John and Ralph Enloe.
