William E. (Bill) James, passed away on December 15th, 2021. He was 88. Bill was born on July 29, 1933 to Evelena and John Henry James and grew up in the Whitefield and Stigler areas of eastern Oklahoma. Bill enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and was an avid softball fan, founding the Sapulpa Girls Softball Association. Bill also served his country in the United States Air Force in the mid 1950’s. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of forty-eight years, Darrell Jean (DJ) James; siblings, Jessie Fregulia, Jewel Chubbuck, Ruth Jones, John James, and Betty Sue Kelley. Bill is survived by his sister, Carol Blink; daughters and spouses, Sherry James, Sheila Platner, Sharon and Johnny Horton, Donna and John Harless, Dawne and Robert Edelman, Laura (Laurie) and Earl Dennis; grandchildren, James Carnes, Kimberly and Isaac Tauaefa, Becky Harton, Bobby Harton, Brandon and Caroline Harton, Daniel and Penny Horton, Rachel and Wayne Bradley, Jessica Horton, Jonna Roberts, Sarah and Van Havenstrite, Shae Edelman, BriAnne Varnell, Austin and Brittany Dennis,; great-great grandchildren, Ezekiel and Selah Tauaefa, Griffin Harton, Taylor and Trey Harton, Saint, Maximus, Atlas, Gabriel, and Luca Harton, Kylie, Raylee, Ridyn, and Ryker Bradley, Alex and Dillon Epperson, Easton, Avery, and Ian Horton; great-great-great grandchildren, Daxton, Drew and Maylee Epperson, and Oakley Buchanon, Josh and Jacob Roberts, Christopher, Joy, and Stella Havenstrite, Kymber Raines, Laurissa Varnell.
