Jack Edward Smith, retired electrician, passed away after a brief illness on December 24, 2021, in Tulsa, OK. At the time of his death he resided in Sapulpa, OK after moving from Oklahoma City. Jack was born in Sapulpa, OK on July 24, 1935, to Pearl Stockton and later adopted by Oscar Smith. At age 19, Jack started employment with Oklahoma Gas & Electric as a meter reader. He became a journeyman electrician and obtained his contractor’s license, maintaining his business well after retiring from OG&E. A loving father, Jack is survived by his three daughters, Karen Hendrickson and husband Mike, Monica Lumpkin and husband Craig, and Christie Burns, as well as ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at Green Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery in Sapulpa, OK on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to one of Jack’s favorite charities, St. Jude’s Hospital, American Humane Society, or American Wildlife Conservancy.
