Obituary of Joe Junior Ford

Joe Junior Ford, 82 was born in Wister, OK on November 23, 1939 to William Burl and Ella Maurie Ford. Joe was called home to his Lord on January 3, 2022. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Burl and Ella Ford, his brothers Gene Ford, Willie Ford, sisters, Rosie Poor and Margarete Ford, sister-in-law, Sally Ford, brothers-in-law, Bud Thompson and Leotis Poor.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ann Ford, two daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Larry Crocker of Sapulpa, OK and Pam and Mike Harsh of Indianapolis, Indiana, 4 grandkids and their spouses; Heather and Roger McDougal, Ragan and Ro’chelle Hilmer, Tony and Rachel Burrow, and Ryan and Bri Hatfield, 11 great grandkids; Luciana McDougal, Heavan McDougal, Dakota McDougal, Hunter McDougal, Sydney Burrow, Noah Burrow, Paisleigh Hilmer, Dylan Hatfield, Gracie Hatfield, James Hatfield, Jude Hilmer, 2 great- great grandson’s, Luca and Liam Pimentel, his brother and his wife, Bob and Vernoyise Ford, a sister, Linda Thompson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Joe grew up in Wister, OK where he met Ann, and they married in Stigler, OK January 24, 1959. In his early years he farmed and worked at the local sale barn. Later, he drove a truck for Dr. Pepper, worked for the City of Tulsa, and then to Acme Machine Shop where he spent several years. However, his life career landed him a job at Fammo Manufacturing where he managed for 18 years before retiring in 1989.
In his free time, Joe enjoyed coaching girls’ basketball and softball, camping, boating, and fishing. He proudly served on the church board of West Side Free Will Baptist Church for many years and made some incredible lifelong friends. He loved southern gospel singing and in his older years became a YouTube expert. He enjoyed attending grandkids and great grandkid’s sporting events and gave plenty of good advice. Joe loved working with his hands and enjoyed wood working project for several years. He was a very detailed person, a bit of a perfectionist, and loved a freshly mowed, clean cut lawn.
Joe wanted everyone to know when he got saved and wanted others to come to know Jesus as their Savior too. Today, he would “guarantee one thing” …… he is walking the streets of gold.
