Obituary of Ralph Edward Holmes

Ralph Edward Holmes went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the age of 74. He was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on October 14, 1947, to parents Charles Edward Holmes and Esther Colleen (Ritchie) Holmes Wilson. Ralph lived in Sapulpa, Oklahoma all his life. He was a proud Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. Early on in his career he drove for Ford leasing company eventually finding his entrepreneurial spirit and started his own company, Valley Dozer & Dump Truck Service. Later in life he attended Tulsa Junior College where he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. His passions were drag racing cars and motorcycles, dirt track racing, water skiing, camping, and anything involving mechanics; from working on it himself to coaching others. He also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and reminiscing about the good ol’ days. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother. He is survived by his sister, Charlene Coplen of Glenpool and brother, Harrison Wilson and wife Debbie of Sperry; children Sandy (Holmes) Inman and husband Todd of Sapulpa, Shawn Holmes and wife Dawn of Broken Arrow; Grandchildren Taylor (Rector) Jones and husband James, Jordan Holmes, Jaiden Holmes, Gracie Holmes, and Colten Hall. He had many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Jan 27 at 2:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel - Sapulpa 400 E. Teel Road, Sapulpa Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan 26 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home - Sapulpa 400 East Teel Road, Sapulpa Ralph's Final Resting Place at Green Hill Memorial Gardens 400 E. Teel Rd., Sapulpa .
