Although we were in the same graduating class of 1966 from Putnam City High School in Oklahomna City, I did not know Bill very well back in those days. We actually met through Facebook, when talking about our military experiences. But we were able to get together for lunch one day in Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Bill treated me like a long lost friend. Saw him again at the 45th reunion in June 2011 and he was the type of guy that could just make you laugh your worries away. A fantastic sense of humor and quite the man! We'll miss him at the future reunions and get togethers, as I know his family will miss him much more. My condolences to his family and thoughts and prayers go with you. The Class of '66 will be a bit sadder without him.

I was sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I was a friend of his and his sister Wilma in high school. He had a red Chevy '55 or '56 and I had a green '56 Ford that we parked in front of their house and it really irritated his mother's husband, looked junky to him I guess. We ate a lot of pizza when he would come home from working at pizza hut with leftovers. Once Wilma and I lit the fireplace and when Bill came in he had to open the flue, the house was full of smoke! I will always have memories of him and his sisters. Love, Gena
