Obituary of Delores Jean Barbour

Please share a memory of Delores to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Delores was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Richard and Bobbie Barbour on September 8, 1952. She passed away on January 29, 2022, at the age of 69. She graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She loved horseback riding, writing, and listening to music, mostly by Elvis Presley. She attended Garnett Assembly of God Church for many years. Delores had a big heart for her mother and her Siblings. She was always looking out for their safety and happiness. She enjoyed taking her siblings to the Zoo and buying them gifts for Christmas. Delores was a kind and loving wife, mother and friend to everyone that deserved it; however, you wouldn’t want to deal with her if you mis-treated her siblings. Sam got in a fight after school with another boy and went home, when Delores found out she drove to that boy’s house and gave them a verbal tongue lashing. She enjoyed riding horseback with Wanda. Delores gave us a fresh start in life by taking us out of a bad situation and giving Mom and the kids an opportunity to succeed in life. She is survived by her siblings; Richard Barbour, Betty Huggins, Marcella Osborn, John Barbour, Paul Barbour, Harry Barbour, Rita Bentley, Wanda Guererro, Sampson Barbour, Roy Barbour and Fran Garces, daughter-in-law; Sally Hess Delores is preceded in death by her mother; Bobbie Jean Barbour, father; Richard Ervin Barbour, son; Philip John Hess and her granddaughter; Alexandria Belfast Ross Hess. Delores was loved and will be missed my many.
