One of the first jobs that Sharon had was a candy striper at Bartlett Memorial Hospital in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She also worked at the pharmacy at the same hospital. However, she went on to get a secretarial degree from OSU Okmulgee. Later she worked for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company for many years. She taught Sunday School classes, prepared the sacrament, she was an Elder and for many years she was the song leader. God blessed her with a very beautiful singing voice. She had been one of a trio singing group for many years. They sang at many funerals and weddings. One of Sharon's most favorite things to do was to go on vacation trips to Branson with her kids. It was their annual trip taken every Memorial Day weekend. They enjoyed taking the old-time photos and watching various different shows.
